George Pippard died from wounds on 22nd March, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Northamptonshire battalion was part of 24 Brigade, 8th Division, that had been involved in the Battle of Neuve Chapelle between 10th and 13th March, 1915 when they suffered many casualties. |
